[SU24] Summer Icebreaker: Beach Day ☀️🏖️🍉

This past Friday, we kicked off the summer with our highly anticipated Beach Icebreaker event at Jericho Beach! 🏖️ The weather couldn't have been more perfect—a good balance of partly sunny and cloudy skies and a gentle breeze set the stage for an evening of fun and laughter. ☀️🐚

To break the ice, we started with a nostalgic game of Duck Duck Goose; it was the perfect way to get everyone relaxed and ready for more action! 🦆🪿

Next, we played Capture the Flag, after splitting the teams into two: Team Red and Team Blue. After three rounds, we announced the winners—Team Blue!

After playing fun games, it was time for dinner! With a variety of sandwiches and spam musubi, everyone enjoyed their time socializing with other attendees. 🥪 🍙

Lastly, the highlight of the evening was undoubtedly Suika Wari, a traditional Japanese game where players attempt to split a watermelon while blindfolded. 🍉 Each participant was spun around to disorient them before they took a swing. Cheers and laughter filled the air as everyone guided each other with shouts of encouragement. The lucky winner not only succeeded in breaking the watermelon but also won a special prize! 🎁
